The boots rub on your ankle bones and are basically unwearable. As they are rubber there is no give so they have gone into the bin.

These boots were great for the first year (I tended to only wear during the winter 'cos they're very warm). However, second winter they developed a hole in the instep (on join with sole) which let in water. As outside of warranty period Muck Boots could only suggest a repair with neoprene patch. Would have thought they would have offered at least a discount on replacement pair. They're now only good for dry weather, not what I bought wellies for.

I have been looking for a good quality boot for metal detecting and a bit of walking as I live in a rural village. I need a wide fitting so the Derwent was ideal, plus your boot finder, for size and fitting worked a treat. I was able to find a local stockist after calling you, to try for size, the stockist didn't have my choice of boot but I was able to confirm that a 12 was for me as I'm a shoe size 11.

I've just had my Unisex Derwent II Short boots for two years (bought end of Jan 2020). They haven't had a lot of wear as I've mostly used them for in and out of back garden with dogs and short walk to nearby meadow for a dog walk.
Yesterday when out walking in typical UK January weather - rain and muddy fields - I discovered they were leaking. I was out n' about for 4-5 hours so by the time I got home, my feet were nice and wet - not a happy girl.
I thought Muck Boot products had a longer lift than light usage and no longer fit for purpose after two years :(

I am normally a 9.5 UK size. Ordered a size 9 and size 10 to try on. Size 9 is more than big enough so contrary to the website advice, I'd say go a 1/2 size down. Also, I was under the impression returns were free; but they're not....

My last pair of short muck boots leak round the toecaps. Presumably these will too in time. Also these ‘short’ boots are two inches taller than the old ones which makes them more difficult to put on. Irritating.

Good soles. Very warm. For me, having slim legs, they are too wide and tend to bend at the back of the calves especially when I'm walking downhill.
How I wish I could try a variety of boots on, to choose the best fit, before buying!

These were just the boots I wanted but may not be everybody's cup of tea. They are perfect for all day, outdoor with horses and dogs. They are warm and completely waterproof and just the right height for me - 5'3' and small frame. I would buy them again. They are however, not fashion items to be 'seen' in. Just a good, substantial boot. Think carefully if you have wide calves or a high instep - they may not be for you.

Great boots, perfectly comfortable also on long walks. Other wellies often caused trouble when used for hiking, they were only good for shorter walks. So no worries any longer when I come across overgrown and muddy paths! My usual size fits well. I can really recommend them.

These boots are just the right size for me to undertake my stable duties, not to heavy/long. The only issue I have is that they only last 2 years in daily use, the welds come apart and where the toes bend eventually leaks. This is my third pair.

While I find these boots comfortable. Putting them on and more importantly taking them off is difficult. The reason for this is due to the hot summer we are having. However, having said that, I am optimistic that as the boots stretch with regular use and the hot weather abates, my attempts to take them off by hooking the heel behind something and pulling and tugging will be made easier. My size is 8 and once on feel good. I will never know if I should have bought 8.5. I prefer not to answer any more questions in this I feel my review says what I want it to say.
