If someone asked me the question, am I an outdoor person? My initial response would be not particularly. Then I think of the pastimes I keep and in one way or another I am always outdoors - it is just in several different environments, whether that is the weekly 5 aside game, my new lockdown pastime of running a few times a week, the family jaunts in the beautiful British countryside or pottering around in the garden, never mind the annual pilgrimage to the Lake District camping each year. I am an outdoor person and I love it.
All these outdoor activities require different styles, grips and needs for my footwear but one thing I look for in all of them is comfort.
During my tenure working with The Original Muck Boot Company, I have been delighted to see how the Brand has continued to serve its core customers whilst also developing into new outdoor categories with new athletic developments and innovations, daring to be different and Original.
From the early days when the Brand launched in the UK it was entrenched serving the farming and outdoor communities with premium winter wellingtons providing warmth, comfort, and protection with styles like the Muckmaster, Chore and Arctic Adventure (some may remember the older names from UK rivers), this base has now seen the Brand develop into a true provider of premium outdoor footwear solutions, with products designed for every eventuality and season.
Back in September 2020 saw the release of our new Apex mid zip, high performance all-terrain boots built on an innovative platform for high endurance outdoor pursuits requiring a more athletic and agile boot. Featuring core Muck Boot neoprene/ rubber construction the Apex benefits from Zip fastening for easy on and off and is of course 100% waterproof. Underfoot comfort is provided by a dual-density insole, a firmer PU layer for structure and a plush memory foam upper topper for long-lasting comfort. The extra practical benefit is the addition of bioDewix for moisture management and NZYM anti-microbial technology for odour management.

March 2021 saw the launch of our Outscape collection, further enhancing our outdoor performance credentials with a 100% waterproof comfortable outdoor athletic shoe/ boot. Using the same underfoot technology as the Apex, we have employed new construction techniques in the creation of MuckSkin a proprietary lightweight rubber neoprene combination. The Outscape means there is no need to compromise your footwear choice when you want trainer comfort and style with the practicality of a boot.
